Mobile Phone Repair Technician

For our client in Ashford, Kent we are looking for experienced Mobile Phone Repair Technician
The technician must carefully listen to the customer's description of the phone's problem and try to fix the issue. At first must run a few test and assess the device's functionality before opening it up. When is a must, the technician has to replace the damaged part. Cell phone technicians are required to possess good communication skills, clear eyesight and strong reading abilities. Such work requires dexterity and maintaining a clean, static-free work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Performing functional test to detect damaged devices and diagnose failures
• Disassembling, test, and replace defective components
• Runing calibration programmes and understand reports to be able to debug by using this tool
• Testing, reclaiming and changing individual components and external housings
• Reassembling complete device, following work instructions
Requirements:
• At least 2 years experience within the repair environment
• Ability to detect and solve problems in mobile phones
• Associates degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent technical experience
• Ability to work in a progressive repair process, having direct interaction with clients
• Good knowledge of phone hardware (Apple, Samsung) and software (especially IOS)
• Repair the main board with the aid of block diagrams and flow charts and use of the oscilloscope
• Knowledge of conducting repairs on the printed circuit board (including soldering on BGA (Ball Grid Array))
• Experience using precision tools and technology
• Software flashing and RF test experience would be an advantage
• Ability to pick up on new processes quickly
• Good computer skills, experience with Windows software
• Patience and strong attention to details
